NGD, RG3120, totally stock and in great shape, espeically the frets, lucky me! If ever I should've taken some 'before' pics though, this would've been it just to go back and appreciate the day long cleaning marathon it needed (this thing was clearly neglected as far as general maintenance goes, especially the neck :confused: ). Anyway, it cleaned up well.

Easily one of the best Prestige line guitars. I really want to get one sometime. Congrats!
 
I had the same one, color and all and should not have sold it.

That is a beauty! Congratulations on that score. Mahogany with maple tops are my favorite choice of body woods...
 
Thanks all!! I have to say the color is not the sexiest thing I've ever seen, hell, it's kinda nasty looking, but the tone and play of this thing is just beastly, I'm lovin' it. This "twilight" color, odd, sometimes it looks blue-ish, especially in pics, but to the raw eye, especially with normal light levels, it's green-ish, like Jax Jaguar green, teal, or something, at least mine is.
 
I have almost the same color on a mutt I built

It looks teal new but now more of an emerald green, probably from the clear yellowing a bit. I actually like the green look but its hard to photo correctly
 
Nice! That thing is too sharp to label a "mutt" though. The gold hardware looks great, sets off the binding.

I hear ya on liking some green (this new guitar is not quite as green as yours...I think my second pic above nails its actual color), I prefer it over blue shades anyway, so I'm kinda glad it only appears blue in certain pics (nothing against blue guitars of course).
 
A little late bump-a-roo....

I had a chance this weekend to make a short test clip. The first half of this is rhythm stuff, all with the Tone Zone/bridge pup, it's then kicked over to the PAF Pro/neck for the lead noodling.

Had a great 3120 that I should not have sold. Great guitars. That one looks awesome.
 
Awesome guitar. That may be my next ibby. What neck profile is that, the wizard prestige?

I've read somewhere that the RG3120 is basically a J. Custom. The same as an RG8420 w/out the tree of life inlay.

The clip was tight! :rock:

nevusofota - it is the Wizard profile, but to me that means almost nothing because there are so many variations of that...I mean this particular neck feels a tiny bit thinner and wider than the one piece "Wizard" neck on my US RG pictured above, etc. And yep, I've also read what you seen, owners lucky enough to have both, a J.Custom and this Prestige model stating they're very, very similar guitars. If true, tis cool! I CAN confirm it's at least dead on par with the USA Custom RG I have in terms of build quality and feel, and hell, I like it better sonically as well so far (mahogany w/maple vs alder w/maple, identical pickups in both), though I'm still tweaking the Tone Zones pickup height (lower is equalling better!)
