Well, Black Friday got the best of me.

Roasted modern elliptical neck, pau ferro board, jumbo stainless steel frets, basswood body and a Suhr SSH+/ML/SSV pickup set. I blocked the 510 trem and set it up to my liking...and just can't put the thing down. Super cool guitar.

Congrats! Those look awesome :rock:

I played my first Suhr modern a couple weeks ago, and it was awesome. LOVED the Pau ferro board! was slick like ebony :yes: I bought it used and loved everything but the neck profile. It was the largest profile available and was just too thick for me. I'm considering ordering one new at some point with the thinner neck profile though.

I have the same guitar in the vintage yellow color.

Was the one that you picked up a used custom build for someone? The .800 - .850 modern elliptical on this one is pretty comfy. It's thinner than my Classic S or JM, but not nearly as thin as my Ibanez. It's a really nice balance between a shred machine and something with a little more meat to hang onto. I was initially a little worried that it would be too thin for my tastes, but as soon as I played it I totally fell in love with it.

Not sure :dunno: It was this guitar: https://www.themusiczoo.com/collections ... allic-2013

Their description is actually wrong on the neck profile;
the build sheet came with the guitar and it was .820-.870. too chunky for me. Other than that and the fact that the strap button on the body being completely stripped out, which was not mentioned in the advertisement, it was a phenomenal guitar.

If I order one new, it'll have the .780-.830 profile :yes:

Grats dude! Nice collection. I'm guessing you must be looking forward to that new Suhr reactive load 2 that is suppose to drop before Christmas too ;)

Yeah, that's a little beefier than mine. It's closer to the profile on my JM ( which I dig) but it wouldn't be my first choice either for a modern.

Here's hoping the right one comes along!

At some point for sure. For recording I do like to be able to blend in 500 ms room IR's in MixIR2 which the new Suhr box won't be able to do, but for tight high gain close mic'd sounds or especially for live use...the new RL will be killer. I've tired several reactive load boxes and the Suhr is by far my favorite.
