So I needed a new strat style guitar, I've got a tex-mex I've had for years but it really needs new electronics and the tremolo block where the arm inserts is stripped.. So I got a great deal on a new S-1 In olympic white, here's some pics of it I didn't take them so not my dog LOL, but the seller took them. I'm really impressed with the guitar so far, one thing I can't believe is how quiet these single coils are, as far as I know, and maybe someone can answer this they don't have the silent system in the S-1 models... but I had it on my Diezels highest gain channel and there was literally like no noise!?!?!

Anyway, really impressed so far with the tremolo and the fit/finish of the guitar, also I love that when I roll down the volume the tone doesn't really change, its also a pretty light guitar as well! I'm not totally used to the sound of the alder guitar body yet, my custom Stinnett is really my goto sound but it's a hum/hum neck through with mahogany body and carved maple top so it's a totally different beast, but for strat sounds th is thing is damn hard to beat!!!

Very nice, I really like the S series John has put out.

Thanks dudes, I'm in love with the whole Olympic white guitar thing, I just can't wait to put some years and age on this thing and wait for it to get some real mojo! I also love how unlike fender the damn finish isn't 3 inches thick of poly! I'm pretty sure it's a poly finish but it's just a real thin coat of it for sure, I can't recommend the neck enough people who think the "Slim C" is actually skinny are mistaken it's NO where near what a ibanez neck or something like that is, it's honestly only a little thinner feel than some of my guitars with "fat" necks, it's just perfectly comfortable. Also the buzz fietin stuff is pretty cool!

I really like that model. Fairly affordable, and a really nice Strat model. I`m looking long and hard at a sunburst one.

If your looking for a strat sound I'd say it's a great option, they sound a bit different, but honestly I feel you can get really close with some tone/volume adjustment, plus they are going to be a lot more consistent than fenders.

I have a Fender Strat, loaded with a sc-sized humbucker in the neck, and a regular in the bridge, so I`m probably more in the "bastardized super strat"-category :D The Suhr is more or less there already. The flexibility of a bucker in a Strat-type guitar just makes it my kinda guitar :)

You stole my S1 you A-hole!

j/k, I can attest first hand to how awesome that guitar is, ESPECIALLY the #4 position. Best clean tone ever, bar none. I could live with just that tone for days.

The Bareknuckle Holy Diver really kills in the bridge, too, if you don't dig the SSV (I didn't). And don't be afraid to abuse the Gotoh 510, I beat on that thing like it's a Floyd and it stays in tune just fine :D

Hahaha, sorry man... I was DYING for a strat type guitar in olympic white, and yea the cleans on this thing are nuts, I actually end up rolling off the tone quite a bit at lower volumes to take away from some of the sparkle, I'm not used to playing with such low output pickups haha. I'd be afraid to put in another pickup in the bridge because the volume change, they seem pretty balanced now and most humbuckers seem a lot louder than whats in there it seemed to me.

Dude the TREM is killer, I dropped in 10-52s so I need to sand the nut a little on the E and A strings just to get them a bit more slippery sometimes they come back sharp just because it's binding up a bit but for the most part its great!

Congrats on the guitar! I'm trying to resist owning a Suhr because I am happy with what I have but it gets harder and harder...

Love that color too!

Congrats! The Suhr Pro Series are the best bang-for-the-buck guitars in the world, IMO.

It's really a killer axe man, and the quality is very high, the thing I still can't get over is how quiet the single coils are and I don't even have the SSC system on this guitar... it's awesome.
