Had one of these back in '04, had to sell it. Spent a long time finding this one, it's staying here for awhile.
Guitar is a '89 Jackson Archtop Student Soloist. USA made, has a very early mother of pearl jackson logo. No idea if that's why it's missing the made in usa or not. This one is 0126, one I had before was in the 70s, and had a regular white jackson logo.
Nice thick maple cap, braz board, dot neck with binding (kinda rare for jacksons) and mahogany construction. A little heavy, but sounds and plays great. I actually prefer this over sharkfin archtops because this looks a little less metal. Just my opinion.
Here are a few pics after a 6 hour rehabilitation - I took all of the hardware off, since it was tarnished and cleaned it in WD40 soak, lubricated the fingerboard, cleaned then used zaino on the body, pulled the tuners and soaked them/cleaned/waxed the headstock like the body, polished the frets, set the truss rod/action, and reintonated the guitar on a strobe tuner. It was nice when I got it, but now she's awesome.
