As we know, James Tyler no longer makes Telecasters. I always wanted a Tylerbaster but when one comes available 2nd hand, they are usually gone pretty quickly. So I looked around for one about 1.5 year ago. I discovered an Italian shop selling Tylers and lo-and-behold, they had a Tylerbaster for sale. I wanted it badly but other stuff (mostly guitars) got in the way of buying it.
Untill about 2 weeks ago, I decided to contact the store and thanks to some help of an Italian friend, I was able to get a nice price on the guitar and bought it on the spot. It arrived last Friday and this is one KILLER guitar. I used to be a die-hard Tele-player untill I got my Tyler SE and Classic. The teles I had fell short against the Tylers so I hardly ever played. This one completely brings back the tele-player in me. The guitar is amazingly lively and resonant and has that typical Tyler oomph which makes it a killer guitar. It knocked me off my feet! It's a 2006 and has been sitting in the store ever since it arrived in Italy. The store owner send me a pic, a famous guitar player ML, currently on tour with Eros R was in his store in December and loved the Tylerbaster. How's that for added mojo?
