A little early to post but oh well. I'll be taking delivery of this this week...

It's a Warmoth mahogany body and maple/rosewood boat neck. Schaller Floyd and nut, gotoh tuners, Dimarzio Dactivators.

I've been looking for a shredder for a while and looking at a jazzmaster. On the lowish end was looking at a Charvel or building a Jazzmaster, on the high end was looking at a JP15 or custom shop Jazzmaster. Then a great compromise showed up on reverb. Its not exactly what I was looking for by any means but has more of my ideal core components than any of the Charvels or Fender Jazzmasters I was looking at, was cheaper than I could even build something for, not to mention the JP15 as well as custom shop Jazzmasters are stupid expensive. Anyway, I am really looking forward to giving this sucker a go.

That's got a whole lotta awesome going on there!!

I'm keen on building a franken-mo guitar someday. Been playing around with the JM, FB, FB reverse, Tele style bodies.

Nice axe - period - more pics once you get it please

I had very low hopes for this thread, but upon opening I was very surprised.
That is very cool man!

The offset body with the floyd kinda reminds me of the Robin Machete J. Yuenger used to play. I dig that...

Totally! Never thought I'd dig it, but I'd rock the hell outta that thing.

Cool guitar. I was wondering if the offset body sits well in the the traditional sitting position?

I had a jim root jazzmaster and it was comfortable. I can't imagine this would be much if any different in that respect.

This looks cool. I always like the shapes of these guitars, but want to put humbuckers in them.

Not what I thought either, looks great. That headstock really works with that body shape.

Well after playing this for a while yesterday I'd say it's definitely cool but needs some work. Main issue for me are the pickups. I dig the output but the tone of these d'activators is not for me. Aside from my kelliher explorer and 86 prs all my guitars have alnico ii pros in them, thus a set is on the way for this as well... I wouldn't mind having a higher output alnico pro because i dig the extra feedback and harmonics but I guess that's why I have a boost pedal...

Second thing is one I need input on. I think this could benefit from a better block on the floyd. This thing has the wimpiest looking trem block I have ever seen. Recommendations? Between the d'activators and the floyd this is metal all day but it has no low end thump. That's a problem for me...

I got the pickups swapped over to some alnico ii pros last weekend. Much more to my liking... anyone need a set of d'activators?

Also, as this is my first floyd guitar I do have a tech question regarding my restringing job. I play mainly 11s in eb, so I restrung after I put in the duncans. I adjusted the claw so that my floyd floats level and that's all good. There is certainly more tension when i am using the trem but i attributed that to tightening the springs and claw to keep the float level with 11s. I notice when I'm doing a dive bomb or really working the floyd that only my low eb and my f# turn to loose spaghetti my other strings remain relatively taught. Did I do something wrong?
