Total gear shake up just happened. Within the past 2 weeks I have sold 3 amps, 2 guitars, and 3 cabs. In return, I got the 20the Anniversay Shiva half stack, 50th anniversary 1958 reissue aged by Tom Murphy and a 1959 reissue "Yamano" Les Pual.
First up, the Yamano "Ice Tea" Burst. Upgraded plastics, vintage sprauge PIO caps, RS pots, Zhangbucker pickups, COA, and lifton case. I had never heard of zhangbuckers til recently. They are hand wound pickups to customer specs. The winder, David Plummer is a great guy and is really great about communication what gear you have, waht you are looking for, and then custom winds to your taste. He doesn't have a website, but he posts frequently on the various les paul forums, seymour duncan foruns, and TGP. I can tell you that if you are the type of guy that like PAF and hot PAF type pickups, these are IT. I have never had a pickup sound so good through a high gain amp and still sound so open, clear, and balanced.
Next up is the 50th anniversary 1958 reissue murphy aged "Washed Cherry" Burst. This thing is pretty light weighing in at about 8.6lbs.
