NGD x2... sorta! Luxxtone & Schecter content!

Well ok... the Luxxtone is here for some demos so it’s not a keeper, unless my “financial advisor” says otherwise. Distressed Silverburst, Floyd, Arcane Custom wound humbuckers, Maple neck. The neck seems to have a light gray tint that is GORGEOUS in person.

I’ve been eStalking Luxxtone’s for years and while hanging with Reza at NAMM, he was like, “you gotta meet Jerry!” Jerry B is seriously the nicest cat in the world. Really looking forward to getting some vids done with this guy.

Now THIS guy... I was at GC getting a midi cable for my new Egnater SS4 amp switcher. I’ve been GAS’ing for a Multi-Scale since doing the Ceres vid at NAMM. These Reaper 7’s have had my attention for some time. Low and behold GC had one in stock and did a killer deal on it. Played it through an Engl Retro Tube 100 and it killed. The stock pickups sound great, Neck is really comfy and the fanned frets were really easy to adjust to. The reason I sold my KM7 was I didn’t love playing leads on the 26.5” scale. This fixes that quite well.

Yeah for sure. Funny thing, and it MUST have been fate... I HATE the two other finishes this model comes in. I am still surprised how much I dig the Schecter. The multi-scale feels killer.

I gotta be honest, I tried Ibanez and ESP 7’s years ago and they never stuck. Got a 7 on a whim about a year and a half ago and it killed! Only reason I sold it was I got my Prestige 7 and wanted the team. The multi was most appealing though because I have short fingers and lead playing is a bit off on the full 26.5” scale. This fixes that problem.

I’ve always wanted a 7 string to mess abound with and have really wanted to try the Reaper. My biggest fear is the pickups. I don’t want to go down the rabbit hole of pickups. Let me know how you like the stock pickups.

Schecter makes great guitars, but I have never been able to bond with one. They have all come and gone for me. My favorite of the ones I owned was the original C1 classic with the original vine inlay. That one was the best.

Yeah oddly enough I hated them til the KM7. This guitars nut is cut goofy though so they are sending me a replacement guitar and returning this one. It still plays amazing but my neurosis won't allow for it! LOL!

Not sure on the stand. I have had it forever. It's a tilt back thing.
