I just wasn't getting along with the Jackson AS, so I decided to go back to what I know in a shredder style guitar. I found a killer deal on a used Ibanez RG420CM, so I snatched it up. Mahogany body with a cinnamon wood top. Slapped some fresh strings on it and gave it a complete once over setup. This guitar flat out rocks!

 
I would rock that. I think I need an Ibby again of some sort.

Gotta ask, what's "wrong" with the Jackson that you don't get along with it?
 
What was "wrong" was basically personal preference issues. I didn't care for how high off the deck the FR was. Which meant that the pickups had to come far out of the guard. Which for me meant constantly getting hung up on the middle pickup. I just prefer a two humbucker setup and a recessed FR. The RG just fits me better as a player.

The bridge pickup is a Duncan Distortion.

I totally get it. I'm having trouble with the brigde pickup in my Ltd EC...it's just in the wrong place :D.
