Well, not yet . Should be here in a couple days. This guitar is so far outside of my box. I’m just looking add some versatility to my arsenal. I’ve never owned an Ibanez. I’m typically not fond of gold hardware but something about this guitar, I really thought it looked sharp. And that F’ing Sweetwater credit strikes again!!!

Im not a huge Abby fan, But I love that one
Congrats!

The gold hardware really matches with that top!!! Hngd!!!!!! Let us know how you like it once you get it!!

Cool guitar, and agree about the top and gold hardware!
Congrats!

Awesome! Enjoy it!

I need an Ibby in my life someday.

I will let you know my thoughts once I get her in. I'm not sure about the Tone Zone as I have no experience with this pick-up. Seems to be quite Hot.

Looks nice. I could never bond with those thin necks though.

TBH I cannot see which model this is. But I assume the 652, all Mahogany with the maple/walnut neck and rosewood.

If that is correct I am sure it will sound fine but I worry it would be very very dark sounding.

I have a Tone Zone. It is not too hot for me at all but the reason I got it was to tame a very overly bright guitar. It was all mahogany and all maple with maple board. Extremely bright sounding. The TZ was a perfect match and balanced it out as the TZ is very Bass and Mid heavy.

It could be too hot for you as I do have 9k pups and I know the difference but also DC is not the only deciding factor on how "hot" a pickup is.

Anyway the darkness would be my only worry but this looks like a killer guitar and it is good to see Ibanez selling guitars with real pickups these days.

That looks killer man. The only ibby’s I’ve ever bonded with were the s series, but I’ve always liked the rg’s.

Looks awesome! I recently took the plunge on a Prestige RG and LOVE it! Can't wait to hear your thoughts.

I have a TZ in the bridge position of my Ibanez S series. Works out great! Not too dark at all. Plenty of jangle left, due to maple neck, maple cap. I actually want to beef it up further, by getting a brass trem block, but I haven't found one that would fit (S Series have really thin bodies).

Yes, its the RG Prestige RG652BG. I will report back my findings!

What's the neck pickup? Original, or also DiMarzio?

If it's currently not an Air Norton, may I deeply, unequivocally suggest

AIR NORTON!

And make sure you can coil-split it! It works wonders in 3 totally different guitars of mine, including the Ibanez S series.
