Well, after I returned the EBMM EVH, this is what I decided that I really wanted. 2003 Fender Deluxe Stratocaster with a Fender Floyd Rose. The guitar feels and plays great. As soon as I can get the low E string intonated, it will be perfect. (Setting the intonation on this thing is a bitch!)

HNGD!! I was JUST playing and thinking to myself.."fuck..I need a strat.."

This doesn't help my gas

 I have a '99 Fender Deluxe strat that was in that same config, swapped out the pups for cruiser n/m and a AT-1 bridge. The Frets on mine are getting worn out though :(

Never seen one like that,i really like the color.Nice!

The Fender Noiseless singles don't bother me. I have a Suhr Aldrich coming in the mail for the bridge though.

i dont usually like strats but im really diggin that one.

Classy. Where are the intonation screws? Can't see em in the pics.

That's pretty hot. :)

How stable is the trem?

As long as you have it set to float slightly above the body, it's pretty stable. You can't bottom it out and have it come back in tune, but I can get a good step out of it without issue. If you set it flush on the body the trem returns sharp. Which I don't get, but that's what it does. It does what I need it to do. My only gripe is that I can't do drop D tuning on the fly. It plays great, ands the fundimental tones is really nice, so I won't complain about the lack of tuning changes too much. ;)

The intonation set screws, as well as the actual intonation adjustment screws are under the plate. You have to drop the bar all the way to the body to get to them. It's kind of a pain in the ass, but I suppose that once you have it set, you leave it alone.

I'm a die hard Les Paul guy, but I've been wanting a nice strat for awhile. I used to play nothing but strats during the late 90s. Since 2002 it's been a whole lotta Paul. Decided I needed a little variety in my tonal diet...lol! :D

Be careful, my strat I got last October has ruined Les Pauls for me   After I modded my strat up, my LP's got very little use and the LP Standard went bye-bye

Very nice! How do you like the roller nut? Does it brighten up the guitar? I've never had one. Congrats!!

I don't think I'll have to worry about the Les Paul going anyware. My wife bought it for me as a birthday present the first year we were married. It's the one guitar that has never even been considered for the "block." There is just something about the way it fits my hands, and the way it sounds. It will be around until my daughter is old enough to pass it on to.

I actually dig the roller nut. It works very well, and doesn't alter the tone in a negative way. I would actually say that if anything, it warms the tone up a bit compared to the strats that I played without one. YMMV.

Congrats! That looks alot like my mex strat except with HSS and a floyd.

I've been jonesin' for a HSS strat myself and have been eyeing a G&L Legacy on CL...but the bastard wants too much for it.

Hope you enjoy!

very nice, looks alot like mine. I love my strat, play it more and more.
