Nik Huber Orca vs 2013 GLP R9

I've been trying thing about replacing my current GLP and was looking at the Nik Huber Orca. They play and sound amazing and I've compared head to head with a 2013 R9 and liked the Orca better for a few reasons but have just noticed the bridge humbucker is quite a bit further forward (away from the bridge) as compared to a GLP.

For some reason I only played them head to head on the clean channel but now wondering what effect the bridge humbucker position might have on the Orca when playing dirty.

Any thoughts on this? It's about a 4 hour drive to play the Orca again which I will do before I decide, but wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts or opinions on this in the meantime.

If I'm not mistaken the scale of the Orca (at least the ones SteveK has sold) is different that a GLP so that could be some of what you are seeing. I think they are 25 or 25.5 scale...
 
The scale on the regular Orca is 25. Nik does make a 59 model which has a bit thicker body and a 59 neck, as opposed to the normal 58 size neck. The traditional Orca is a bit thinner than a GLP, so less wood mass may have something to do with PU placement. The top carve is different too, so the physical attributes of PU ring up ring height vs. string/neck height may be in play. FWIW, you won't notice any difference. The Orca is a wonderful guitar.
 
So even though most of the you tube clips I hear are clean, you think It'll still rock balls out as hard as a GLP?
