New keyboard day, was actually this past Saturday; I had to make room for it.

I have a Roland Fantom EX workstation (61-keys), and I was considering the Kronos 3; but after looking at the features, sounds, etc., it was clear the Kronos 3 is a minor upgrade to the Kronos 2, and it's basically a 10+ year old design whereas the Yamaha has many more modern features / tech, like the Fantom...

Flagship Yamaha Montage M8x 88-key workstation with polyphonic aftertouch. My retirement gift to myself after 46+ years of working. Now that I'm retired, new gear will mean I have to sell gear; I sold two guitars to help fund this; and I plan to sell another keyboard to cover more of the cost for this

That's so cool, man! I had a Montage 61-key synth for a while. Learn all the deeper parameters, it is such a cool instrument! You're going to have tonnes of fun with it! Congratulations!

They really need to put side handles or side grab-cutouts, and one in the back center...it's wide and deep, with no place to hold it securely, was PITA to get it out of the box, and onto the stand.
