I always wanted to do this but needed to figure out how.I finally took the plunge and put in a second Lar/Mar master volume and added the ability to footswitch between the two. With a stock 1959 circuit running the zero loss loop,there still was really no way to put a boost in the loop where it actually boosted volume so this was the way to go. Now I have one master for my rhythm and one turned up slightly for leads. I used this switching board and it worked out great: http://www.skipzcircuits.com/CHSW.html. I'm using a Boss FS-5L to switch because it has an LED to show me when I'm in lead mode. I have a diagram for this too if anyone is interested.
