So it's New Modded Guitar Day here.

Got these back from my buddy Cron today (he posts here on occasion) and I'm very pleased with the results.
Both guitars have been kitted out with Tremol-No's & D-Tuna's, Push/Pull Volume Pots for splitting the bridge pickups, 3-Way Switches for access to HB P90 & SC modes from the P-Rail neck pickups, and foam strips inserted into the trem springs to mute unwanted noise.
Also replaced the stock volume-knobs (those things were horrid).

The Snow White is tuned to Eb and has a Seymour Duncan P-Rails in the neck, and a BG SmokeStack in the bridge.

The Candy Tangerine is in E Standard and has a Seymour Duncan P-Rails in the neck, and a Seymour Duncan Distortion in the bridge.

Clips to come later.
Meanwhile, here's some pics (lots I'm afraid).
Enjoy.

how do you like the P-rails?
Haven't had a chance to play loud, but so far I'm impressed.
I heard the neck P-Rails at a jam a few months ago and was blown away by how sweet it was for clean tones.
And under high-gain it gets a nice fat melodic lead tone, not the best for shreddy lead tones though.
I used to primarily use my neck pickup for the shreddy lead tones, but lately I've been favoring the bridge pickup for that.
So I decided to go with a neck pickup more geared towards clean tones.
Sounds really nice.

Very nice! I've been looking at the Snow White Charvel for awhile now. I keep sitting tight hoping they make a model with a recessed Floyd though. I'd like to put a sustainer in the neck position of one eventually. Love the upgrades though...enjoy!

Nice  I am going to pick one of these one of these days.

Nice! Are those cutouts in the spring cavity cover enough for you to work the Tremol-No without taking it off? I've never used one before, so I have no idea how tight those thumb-wheels are.

The white one is hot! I really like the candy tang one also. I have a candy green SoCal that flat out rocks.

Thanks man.
Hopefully for you they do make a recessed Floyd eventually.

And great avatar pic btw!
My fave band.

Love the Candy Tang one!
Man, I can't decide which I like better! :D
I'd have to say the White with the direct-mount pickups is my fave looking.
But the Candy Tangerine has the slightest edge when it comes to tone, but that's because I tend to prefer the smoother character of rosewood fretboards over the snap of maple.

Thanks mate. :)
Yeah the thumbscrews are easily accessible through the access holes in the back plates.
Those aren't the original backplates though.
My mate replaced the original solid metal back-plates with these custom made plastic back-plates with access holes.

Haha! Yep the white pickups really compliment the white body nicely.
I really like the look of the Candy Green So Cal too.
