....although I know some guys still need and love them!

Man, I find it harder and harder to justify a 4x12 these days. I still have my Splawn straight cab but my Stone Age 212 and Bogner 212 sound just as good and just as big. :) If I can get away with a big and punchy 112, I would! :)
I am 6'3", 240 lbs and a powerlifter so carrying a 412 is cake, but why do it, if I have no need? We play a variety from light to heavy, but may the smaller cabs are sounding so good these days. I think every piece of gear has its place to I can still see a need and in the end, whatever inspires you! :)

I've been thru quite a few cabs, my StoneAge 2x12C is easily the best cab I've ever owned.
The narrow open back design is the best of both worlds...punchy out front and yet breathes nicely.
Not so sure anything truly replaces a 4x12 but I think that cab is about as close as you can get.

I'm 5'11" and i like to party!

I have to come clean. I settled on a 412 as being my favorite. I prefer my Splawn 412 over my Bogner 212OS, Stone Age 212C and Port City 212.

a little worried . sounding like a macho females dating hotline personal bio site...

I'm still using a full stack most the time for over 20 years.

I'd have a 4x12 if it fit in my car, but alas :)

I could fit a 4x12, Head and two guitars into the back of my 97' Ford Escort.

The muffler was half and inch off the ground though

Forget modding the amp, mod the suspension on the Escort to handle more weight. lol

I am back loving 412 cabs. My Splawn 412 is my Number 1 and I plan to get another next year. :)

I got rid of my old Uber a few years ago because of the size/weight factor in favor of the OS 212. Don't get me wrong, the 212 sounded good but nothing compares to a 412. I recently got a sweet deal on a 101b and standard 412. Every time I have to carry this beast up 1 or more flights of steps, my back is p*ssed but my ears are telling me to think about how it will sound. You only live once, and somehow the ears win. Whatever band I'm playing with feels the same way. There is a familiar scramble to help any time I mention using anything else. lol
