Guys, I've never had a midi rig before.... it's my first time with a midi footswitch and all.

Now, this f.s. has no cables, I know it can be phantom powered by the VH4 correct? then What type of cable do I need? I see two Midi input/output, the VH4 can power the nobel through the midi cable right? the Vh4 has no XLR as the Herbert does correct? or is it the other way around?

Anyways.... how can I use the nobels to footswitch the Little Joe too? (if I'm using VH4 + Little joe)

cheers guy, thanks for landing a hand. :)

You need to make sure it is 5 pin / 5 wires with 1&3 hot for phantom power. Not sure about the European market, but for some reason they aren't easy to find online in US retailers. Most of the ones you find are 5 pin with 3 wires. So, watch your purchase. My 5 wire ones are Conquest which came from Musicians Friend that are wired for power.

Thomann The Snake is cheap and has/uses all wires

I also use those. Great cables for a very good price.

You already have a blue one for Little Joe - and once you go midi you need "some" cables in diff. lenghts . . . .

Yeah I had in mind the blue one from the Little Joe for the VH4, but I want two more (like you said it's good to have spares cables)

But it's just the standard Thomann Sssnake Midi cable right?
