I liked the tone and playing, nice job. Always wanted to try a nobels. So it shines best when used into an amp that is just breaking up, versus a clean amp?

Thank you, glad you like it!

It sounds great both ways actually. There is a video on the Nobels YouTube channel that features Tim Pierce playing the Nobels mini into a clean amp. Sounds fantastic.

I personally like the blend of an "edge of breakup tone" coming from the amp and blend that with an overdrive pedal. I use the nobles for all my lead playing (especially for a full on rock solo when using the bridge pickup) because it has enough high end to cut through the mix but still has enough smoothness to not sound harsh, especially when playing high up the neck.

I have been using a Nobels ODR-1 for years. It sounds amazing with some amps. I like the big pedal better than the newer mini pedal. The bigger pedal the bypass sound is kind of funky.

Nice job on the video.

Thank you!

The ODR1 sounds smoother than my Fulltone Fulldrive 2 when boosting an amp for leads, I like to use the full drive 2 for boosting an edge of breakup amp for rhythms actually because its brighter and has a tighter bottom end. In addition the ODR1 is a lot more open sounding and retains a lot more dynamics than an Ibanez TS9. Even on the high gain sounds.

Because it has more bass than most overdrive pedals and has a unique voice it works really well with certain amps. It can make a combo sound huge.
