I’ve been getting into the p90 sound, but I play with lots of gain and most P90’s tend to be rather noisy. What are your favourite noiseless P90’s? Thanks in advance.

I like the cheap Wilkinson ones the best out of the ones I've tried

I have a set of Kent Armstrong 'Stealth 90s' that I like.
They're quite quiet compared to an OG P90, but also just a tad less raw.
Much better IMO than Gibson's P100s which I didn't like much at all.
Duncan has a new Jared Nichols signature noiseless P90, the JJN Silencer.
It's a triple-coil design inside and might be pretty good.
Haven't owned it yet myself though.
Jared plays one-pickup guitars so the JJN is only available as a bridge model.

You want the Lindy Fralin noiseless overwound set. I have them in my P-90 Strat and I’m a high gain player too. They’re very good. Thick and warm but with some of that single coil cut. I use mine with 250k pots.

I just use a noise gate since I use one with humbuckers as well anyway, just need to run the threshold a bit higher.

If I pay for a set of P90's and they ain't making any noise I take them right back where I bought them and get a working set.

Based on the DCR I'd think DC stands for dual coil.
Possibly an opposed-coil design?
Might be good. It's got to be better than the P100.

Thanks for all the replies. After exploring P90's, I actually settled on Filtertrons and so far so good. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the chime!

A good Filtertron is magical. Congrats! Try Filtertrons through a Fender Twin Reverb. Sounds like angels.

The Fret King Corona GW guitar that I bought last year has a Prizefighter bridge humbucker, Dallas single coil, and a Soapstack P-90 neck pickup which are all made by Wilkinson. The Soapstack P-90 neck pickup is quiet when I hit it with high gain.
