Top o the morning RT peeps. i found another mystery amp and would like your opinions on the brand anp amp.

Nolatone Super Bug. Functional but trashed condition.

I found one that plays. It looks like hell, needs some work toghtening up here and there. Loud.. But sounds really good. I can see it has MM. Iron in it. New looking gold lion power glass though.

It appears to be in a new cab. Maybe a cab that is not pictured on the interwebz pics. And nolaone discontinued the amp and took down the product info. I can see that it has a shitty job of tolex applied.

The tone? Up fairly loud, it is glorious in a way a Germino JTM is sweet. It was my first Nolaone to play and I was able to crank it to stand back loud. 6L6 or 6V6 capable by a switch in the back.

Opinions? Value ideas? A similar kinda version is 1799 buy now new on flea bay.

I've personally played the CL15(?) I believe and it was absolutely amazing. Kind of like a Vox, I reckon. Very dynamic and input sensitive (I believe it was handwired but not sure) chimey, gritty and full.
Heard that they're also very reliable amps.
Never heard of the Superbug until now. If it sounds good, but is thrashed....... I'd say a little less than half of new value would probably be a fair price. Spend a little on new glass if you have to and you may have an absolutely killer amp for well under a grand.
An optimists point of view, anyway. :)

I dare to say it but it had everything good about my favorite old MKIIC clean channel in it, and then a bit more. It is like taking the clean channel of the MKIIC and splitting it into two channels.

I found out they are built by a guy not too far from me. I can drive out and get him to look at it and tweak if necessary. It is a gigging amp for sure. You know how a simple amp can just have a pure and dynamic punch in the gut type of burn? It does exactly that. I may have to go get it. Put it in a head shell and run it into a separate cab. I like to try out different speakers anyway...

GAS is easy to justify!

"dynamic-punch -in -the -gut-burn"
I do know what you mean. Some amps have it, some don't.
Pretty cool that they are not far away from you as well. I say destiny! I think you better get this baby!!!!!
