lol
Watch some video ads of stuff they sell; subscribe to these ads through patreon and get more exclusive ad footage of stuff to buy, maybe win a coffee mug

He’s a “little guy” compared to GC. How does he treat the “little guy” when it comes to deals? I have seen photos of dweezil, Joey b, and other celebs in his shop.

He's got 26 patreons so far, comments are not supportive of his decision.

I guess he could take his ball and go home and not share any of his gear with the public on Youtube.

More power to him.

I've run into Norm at the OC Guitar Show before and been to his shop once. He was interviewing two kids, a singer/songwriter duo for a video, and they were playing and singing a little. It was cool to watch. He seems like a nice enough guy. About a week after there, Geddy Lee was in there and I saw a photo of him with Norm on FB. Just missed it.

Norman’s has been around for decades and seems to have always done well. The internet has sent them into the stratosphere and are now a world reknown vintage guitar dealer. Mark Agnesi is Norm’s right hand man and has a very popular “Guitar of the Day” series on YouTube and Instagram. I just checked today’s episode and saw it has almost 20k views in only 5 hours. Seems to me that it is only good entrepreneurship to take advantage of their internet presence that they have built over the years. I mean if the Kardashian’s can do it why can’t a baddass guitar shop.

Also, I bought a 2013 Strat there a few months ago. They couldn’t have been any nicer, and I’m a nobody. I dealt directly with Mark. He even gave me his personal cell phone# and really worked with me on the price.

F~ck him.
What's wrong with the USA that rich people are begging poor people for financial support ???
They've enjoyed a privileged life of excess and suddenly have no savings and no insurance.
If I asked Norm ( or any other rich persin currently playing the Pity Card ) for help to pay my bills he'd tell me to f~ck off.
If you need money stop buying so much stock , adding huge markups and hoping they'll sell to some rich rock star.
Reduce your ridiculous prices and sell more product... problem solved.

Someone’s jealous.

Pursuing a new avenue to monetize content he's producing... how dare he.

This is America, after all. If you don't like it don't give. At least he's not making some bullshit story up to try and get people to donate to a fake "Go Fund Me" deal. Over the years my bands and other locals have donated our time and efforts to play fund raisers here and there locally, mostly for people with health problems, or a sudden death etc. Once we played a fund raiser for someone who had cancer and no insurance. Except he never had cancer. Nice.
He was arrested for fraud a week later.

This post makes me want to donate to Norm and shop at his store.

I don't mind the Patreon, throw it out there in the beginning or end of a video.
But to make a video just to announce it and dangle exclusive opportunities for coffee mugs comes off as a bad idea

Not interested but always have opinions :)

I do think it is ridiculous if the guy is dumb rich to have a Patreon. I also think those 23 subs are idiots unless the Patron actually has something to offer or I guess if they are rich too and don't care.

People can do what they want with their money but for me, you better have some content. I was a patreon for an AE for a bit because he helped people get better at mixing.

From the sounds of it this guy has a Patreon and the content is showing videos of the gear his shop has for sale? That is comical if true and I stand by my 23 idiots comment.

I have no idea if that is the case or not. Maybe he is showing vids of all the celebs coming in and some other stuff? Either way it could all be labeled as entertainment so if you find any of it entertaining the choice is yours.

No problem with it at all, not sure I even follow the point of the question?
Is there something bad about patreon or about the guy trying to use it?
