Waiting for the 10 pages of "Fuck Carters... I bet they are going to move the production to china! All reissues are going to be inaccurate!! My Norms era guitar is 10x better than the new Carters era!!!"

I picked up one of those Gretsch Abbey Road limited editions last month, first and last Chinese built Gretsch I'll buy. Tool marks everywhere, misaligned bridge (maybe pickup? Lol) missed a bridge pole altogether, exposed wiring, couldn't get the action lower than I play on slide guitars... all for the same price as a US made Fender. It's been about 10 years since I've played a mic guitar, figured they must be caught up.
Agree 100%. That's why I try to buy everything I can Made in USA. Even the coffee I've got today, first time trying this brand and type, I made sure it was made in the US. Unfortunately, it's not always the case that I can find what I'm looking for that was made in the US. But every single time I have the option, I choose a US made product, to both support the industry, and also to enjoy a better product.
I don't mind the Mexican 5153 amps, nor the Japanese made Gretsch and Zemaitis guitars(among a few other brands), but I have never tried a Chinese product that I liked better than others, except for the 9th gen 12ax7.
