I've been offered a Budda SD30 2x12 combo and a VHT Deliverance 60 for my head in the last few weeks. A guy thought he wanted to trade his Splawn Nitro for it, but we both decided we didn't want to do it, and now a guy wants to trade his Soldano HR50 for my 800.

I used to own a HR50. Great amp. Loop is not pedal friendly. That's my only poblem. When I had mine I talked to Bill Sundt at Soldano and he sent me the schematic to change the line level to work with pedals.

Hmmmm.......I'm torn.

Sounds to me like you have a special Marshall if others are constantly trying to pry it away from you, I think thats a sign its a keeper.

It does sound pretty great.
I've had band members tell me they like it more than my JTM45.

Yeah its a keeper.

Sounds like you have been smiled upon by the music gods and have a 'special' amp. I would not let that go. And especially not for a HR50. They are ok. Not slagging Soldano in any way. I have an SLO, played a few and found one that was magical. The HR goes after that SLO tone but does not get to. If you mod it, it will still be almost an SLO.

Keep your magic music box.... If you are lucky enough to have a tone that inspires envy, you must be doing something right. I would save my lunch money and buy another amp, not trade off the magic beans....

i found out the hard way, trading magic beans will get you a rotten apple in a world of spoiled foods.

keep your JCM tone, i wouldnt do the trade

I am NOT going to do the Soldano trade. Like I said I had one and traded it away. It sounded great, but not like a good 800.

Just in the last 1/2 hour another guy offered my a 1983 2204 Vertical input JCM800! Damn I've gotta take my CL ad down!

I might just have to check out the '83 though!
