Local craigslist deal for $40, in practically brand new condition. Good lord, this thing is AMAZING at keeping feedback to a minimum! My Hellraiser sounded like crap through my Twin Jet, to the point where the feedback and static almost overpowered the sound of the guitar. Now with this thing, the EMG's sound great, tighter, and with far more clarity! Easily the best hip-pocket purchase I've made in awhile!

And with that, I have no room on my pedal board!

Hell yeah man I run simple too. wah-volume-tuner-tubescreamer-NS2- 5150- Diezel Cab!!! Keep it simple man Im sure the tone is killer!!

Congratz on a killer deal... I bought mine for $ 45 but it was most definately USED lol

I need to pick one of these, or a Decimator, up for my board. I use a RP1000 in the 4CM but I am still getting some noise with its built in gate. I should check out the manual to see if the gate is set up to run out front or in the loop.

I actually wanna get a decimator too. I wanna try sandwiching the tubescreamer between 2 gates (i saw Periphery do that in a video and it sounded soooo tight for the stocatto "djenty" stuff) Ill have to check my settings tomorrow for you my stuff is at my drummers for rehersal, I use the Vetta at home its good for bedroom stuff.

I have one on my board but it's in the loop. Out front it really didn't do anything to my ears. In the loop it takes away all the white noise/hiss...

Running it in front of the amp reduces a lot of the interference from electrical devices and the pickups, which is a lot more overbearing than any noise the amp makes. Running the amp with the FX loop on sucks a lot more tone than the pedal does... the Twin Jet unfortunately doesn't have that great of an FX loop. :(

I hear everyone talk about decinator ect. My gate in my rp 1000 works great 0 noise I use the 4 cable method thru a randall rm100 works for me

if you really have that much noise it kinda sounds like maybe the problem is an ungrounded/unisolated electrical circuit wherever you're plugging it up.

i've got an ns-2 on my pedalbaord. last weekend i went to practice and forgot to turn it on. didn't miss it. i usually set it at as minimal of an attack as i can get away with so the gate opens with a light touch. i tend to set the decay farther to right so the gate doesn't snap shut and i can hold chords or solo notes as long as needed. i hate when the gate snaps shut too soon. to my ears.. if you set the gate to open with a late attack it gets slightly compressed. that can be a good or bad thing depending on whether you like the compression or not.

I am running mine with a RM100 also. What are your settings on the gate in the RP? Thanks.

Hey fek, off topic, how do you like the rp1000 with your RM100? Can't get the GMajor-2 to play nice with my Lynchbox effect loop (serial)

For the record, I use a decimator pedal as well. Love this thing. The one pedal I will never sell or move along. Setting it around 11 kills the noise but also lets my notes decay properly..
