Let me start by saying I got the palisades when it came out cus I'm an eqd fanboy and an od fan as well... Anyway I moved the palisades fairly quickly. Either sounded too thin or too fat, couldn't get it run straight up the middle.

The dunes is supposed to be the little brother of the palisades. Same core with a few fewer options. Well whatever they did, they did it right. This is the best ts type pedal I've ever owned. I've had the Aramat green machine, Cusack screamer, ts9, ts808, ts808hw, and a number of others. The dunes is fantastic. Set to no diode, normal setting and full range. With vol at 6 oclock, and both tone and gain at 1030 ish it is the most clear, transparent and awesome od sound I think I've ever heard... if you have the means, I suggest you pick one up. They are so choice...

To provide a little more relevant ts detail I'd say this. The full range option on this pedal makes the difference to me. Out of all the other ts types I've had the ts808hw was probably my favorite, but left a bit to be desired. Rolling off the tone control helped to tame the high end and mid hump but it still lacked oomph lije it was cutting a little low end. Dunes is giving me a flat eq response with however much volume and additional gain I please. Great pedal. Easily to get the tube screamer tone in silicon mode but the tweaks and tone enhancements in this thing really set it apart
