They say things worth having are worth waiting for. After some UPS hangups on the shipping I finally got it yesterday and spent the morning playing. The VBF drive sounds great on it's own but it, and my amp, don't have the ability for very fine tuning of EQ so at higher amp vol & medium OD lead levels it can kind of get a little messy and lose some of the note detail especially in the lower register.
Let me just say this puppy is like a box of tonal treasures in that regard. And it is a very warm sounding unit without having an excessive noise floor. There are no harsh tones in here. It's subtle but powerful. Once you find the settings you like it just makes clean or driven tones sound better somehow. I highly recommend this. So does @JackBootedThug .
Below are my morning's final settings except for level, which I found was unity at about 11 o clock. A special thanks to @griff10672 for the pedal and @TheGreatGreen for the extra time he took to answer some in depth EQ questions in a previous thread.
