NPD (new paint day) !

About a year ago the paint on my charvel got chipped and then started peeling. I decided to finish stripping the paint and then have a local guy refinish it and told him to do whatever he wanted to it, and just to surprise me. I realize this may not be everyones cup of tea, but i wanted a little metal flare put into the design, and i think it turned out great. He wanted to get my approval before finishing the clearcoat and buffing, and i snapped a pic while checking it out ...

Also i forgot to mention ... Anyone have any suggestions for hardware and pickup color ?

I would do black hardware and pickups.
 
Kinda difficult to imagine but, maybe zebra pickups...? :dunno:

Might be cool.

I actually thought about zebra pickups with black chrome or plain chrome hardware.

I have also thought about chrome hardware and solid white pickups.

Decisions decisions ....
 
that is going to look badass when cleared. definitely black hardware.

This x 1,000,000,000,000,000,000.

Stay AWAY from solid white pickups and chrome hardware. IMHO, you will be disappointed. Those colours will clash with the finish.

:lol: :LOL: haha thanks man. the guy who does my painting has a twisted sense of artistic creation , but it typically works out for the better. we had discussed possible themes, and i had mentioned this "lost souls" idea since it is the title of a song my band was writing, but told him to do whatever he thought would stand out. he took part of my idea and turned it into this :thumbsup:
 
i would do black chrome hardware with covered p/u's either painted to match the body or just black.

i have definately narrowed the hardware choices down to either black or black chrome.

i think my pickups will either be an active pickup, either mick thompson sig blackouts, or hetfield sig emg's, ... or i am contemplating a set of bareknuckle painkillers with the cover shown below ...
 
Another vote for black.. also, I seem to be on a reverse headstock kick right now so my vote is for one of those hockey stick or banana reverse headstocks! Keep us posted and update this thread with pics from the finished product.
