So impulse buy #4742 KSR Vesta. Just got a quick test of it but it's basically a low gain brother of the Ceres. The KSR DNA is definitely there and it kinda resembles a BE channel or a slightly higher gain 2203 or 2204 except its a bit... I dunno what a good adjective would be but maybe rounder? Its also very smooth. This is something I could see guys like Andy Wood using. Hit it with some reverb and delay and you are in that zone. Even with the gain maxed you are looking at the gain levels of the Crunch on the Ceres. Which the KSR Crunch channels are my favorite crunch channel.

Another good comparison would be of the Molecular with the clippers off

I was soooo close to pulling the trigger on one of these since it seemed a little bit more up my alley. With my Ceres I rarely had the gain knob at noon even in the lowest gain setting of the three way switch. Maybe down the road I'll try one. Even though I don't have my Ceres anymore, I know what it does and that I can get killer tones from it should I ever need to do a pedalboard rig.

I had to rewire it as I think I had a eff'd up power cable. I swapped it out and suddenly I have more gain. It doesnt have as much as the Ceres but it sounds good. Lots more bass than the Ceres. It sounds like a KSR but different enough from the Ceres to justify both. I'm really digging it.
