Well, it's been a couple weeks actually :lol: :LOL: But I got a Duncan Hot Stack Plus (STK-S9B) for the bridge of one of my strats and loved it. At the same time I got an Injector and put it in another strat. I was digging the STK-S9B more - it was warmer and just bigger sounding. So I got a 2nd STK-S9B to put in the strat that had the Injector - and it sounds great! Definitely my favorite noiseless single coil size pickup. I've tried the Dimarzio HS-3, VV Solo Pro, Injector and the Duncan YJM - for me the Hot Stack Plus takes the cake.
 
I haven't tried that one Darren. I always have dug the Duncan SSL-5. It's not noiseless but remains very stratty and I dig it.
 
Does the hot stack still have that single coil twang? I've got a solo pro in one of my strats but am wanting something a little beefier...

not a lot of twang - just very clear and warm.
 
What do you like to pair it up with in the middle and neck postions?

Honestly I'm primarily a bridge pickup guy. I just put in some cheapo singles I got from guitarfetish. I do like the dimarzio area series for the neck.
