Hello all,
Received a PT Legacy Humbucker, open face, zebra cream/black, which I promptly wired into my S/H tele.
This is exactly what I was looking for in this guitar! Provides tons of HD clarity without getting to bee too thin or harsh. Has nice, extended highs and upper mids.
The pickup remains pretty darn warm but stay very clear all over the spectrum. Pinch harmonics, or any harmonics, ring out clearly when played. Not a lot of 'fluff' around the notes, which I really like.
I have some 500k pots that actually measure 530K (used for Vol) and 510k (Used for Tone).
Wired up a 470 resistor to the neck pickup to reduce the top end.
It has an 'American Metal' in the neck just for testing while I keep working on the guitar it is meant to go in.
It actually works pretty well paired with the Legacy.
Extremely happy with the way this bridge feels under the fingers.
I do not have to set this super close to the strings like other pickups to get that big, clear, open sound.
Very happy with this Humbucker and got it for a great price during their 25% off sale.
