New Switcher Day and ... by accident ... New Clean Channel Day!
I got a GSC-3 switcher off Rig-Talk (thanks steve_k!!) and wired it up today. I wasn't planning on any weird stuff, but by accident I discovered a clean channel on my Cornford Mk50H!
Reason is the way I wired up the loop. In order to be able to switch the Delay in the loop of the amp as well, I used a common trick, where I sent the signal from the looper via its loop5 (any would work) to the amp in, got the signal back from the effect send of the amp to loop5 return, then the Delay in loop6 and the out of the GSC to the Mk50H effect return.
The plan was to leave loop5 on at all times and to switch the delay in and out with loop6. By accident I had a sound with the RC Booster up front and the loop5 off, so in fact I had the preamp of the Mk50H bypassed. Great clean tone, basically RC Booster => Delay => Amp FX return.
Works and sounds great!

With the ALA Loop Adapter I can adjust levels so that the preamp signal of the Cornford and the direct signal: Pedals=>Poweramp is balanced volume and impedance wise.
Signal chain is
Guitar => Wah => GSC-3 In
Loop 1: Retro Sonic
Loop 2: EP Booster
Loop 3: Meistersinger Chorus
Loop 4: RC Booster
Loop 5: Loop Send to amp in, Amp Send => ALA-1 In, ALA-1 Out=> Loop Return
Loop 6: Providence Delay
GSC-3 Out => ALA-1 In => Amp Return
Switcher1/2 Out to Control Gain 1/2 and Master 1/2 of the Cornford.
Alternatively I will run a Midi chain to the Amp, so I can use the Steavens via Midi in or the Bogner 100B via a Nobels MS-4 switcher.
Guess I am pretty set.
By the way, I haven't even yet opened the manual of the GSC-3, it's a breeze to program, so easy!
If you get hands on a switcher and have a preamp pedal for cleans, like the RC, or a Tech21 or something in that vein, I can only recommend it. You might have to get something like the ALA-1 to match levels and impedances.
