Nice guitars; very well made. Necks are too thin for me, but feel really great, for what they are!

Where were you last week? I sold a great one for $600 to a very cool local guy.

Man, I would have loved to have checked that out. Not a big fan of thin necks though.

Did you ever get your rig figured out?

Unfortunately not; got busy/distracted and tossed the switcher in a closet

As a matter of fact, I'm glad you mentioned it; I'll definitely give you a ring when I'm feeling up to giving it a run. Thanks again for offering to help!

Josh, you sold the N4? I thought you would never seel that.

I had a great one in college. I've never seen another like it. It was all black. This was some time prior to '94 when I graduated. I can't remember if the headstock matched or not. It had the Stephens cutaway and was a true N4 and not one of the cheaper ones. I wish I still had it. I believe it was a gloss black, but I don't remember. I love fat necks and never had a problem with its neck, but I can adapt to anything. I suck equally on all guitars...lol.

I have owned several of the early "Davies" models, and those were hit or miss on the quality (necks would warp). The '92-'93 era was when Grover Jackson was in charge, and those were really the best quality ones.

I have read where the stuff coming out of the custom shop for the last couple of years was well built, but I have not tried any.

Right now I am down to three '91's, two '93's, and one custom shop N6.

I read that the new ones are better guitars as well. I have never played an original Davies but I did play the new 2.0 which was very nice and comfortable. The guys over at Funky Munky Music are very cool and will be the place to go for an N4. The owner is good friends with Nuno so they get priority stuff from Washburn.

I know John from FM quite well, and he has helped me score some odd parts I needed.

I thought hard about getting a Davies 2.0, but I really only play one of my '93 models, and the rest just sit in the case.

That one is pretty sweet! I don't think that one is the new production 2.0 's though. It will sound good through one of those custom Rhodes racks you were looking at

:gay: Nuno may more than likely be (though less so than Cherone) but suck on guitar he definitely does not. He's incredible! Love the N 4's, tried one in the 90's but unfortunately did not have the funds to purchase it :( One day i'll own one..

I have an ash N4. It incredibly fun to play but I wish I would have bought an alder or paduak version as my ash version is kinda bright. Neat guitars, check one out

Nuno's been married to Suzi DeMarchi since 1994. She fronted Baby Animals, the aussie rock band.

Never heard of them, but this is a bad ass song:

I owned Three N4's in the past when collecting. Was quite a while ago but I remember I really liked the way they felt.

Especially the neck....I must be one of the weird ones...
