I grabbed this from dooredge (Jerod) last week. It was previously modified by forum member, XSSIVE.
I've been using a switchless Tremonti Morley and while I still like it, I was looking for a wah with the classic Crybaby tone, only with a bit more personality. This thing sounds awesome! Sort of a EVH/Cantrell hybrid. Super expressive sweep range and very vocal. My buddy calls it "Charlie Brown meets Rain When I Die" tone, lol. I'd say it has a slightly less gradual sweep than the Tremonti, but is much more musical and expressive. The Tremonti has benefits like the simple switchless, spring-loaded design but it sounds too trebly and 'screamy' especially on cleaner tones.
This is a summary from Mike who modded it: -Used the same sweep cap value as the EVH and Cantrell both have, the inductor from the EVH and the sweep adjustment knob (to roll of highs) on the side plus true bypass and a pink LED
Killer! Still adjusting to the switched design, but it's much easier to switch than any previous Crybaby I've owned.
