Aah, I forgot about Franco :) He played on Time Odyssey by Vinnie Moore IIRC. Good drummer!

Saw them quite a few times in dumpy bars as they kicked butt with class

Great stuff Steve, thanks for sharing. I couldn't imagine what that was like pre VH - that guy must have been a Guitar God.
Cool! Glad you dug them, man! Yeah, we were all pretty blown away by these guys back then as far as the guitar playing. Hadn't heard much like it. You are actually hearing solos from two guitar players a lot of the time. The main guy was John Gatto, but Mickey Marchello, the other guitar player is doing quite a few solos as well...

Here's another truly obscure 70s band. Alkana. When I moved to Cali, everybody was diggin' these guys in the late 70s Anybody remember these guys? The guitar player Danny Alkana turned into some Yngwie style Bach shredder after this:

Never heard of them...cool stuff!

That first video reminds me of The Allman Brothers, Zappa and Focus all mixed together.

I was at their Reunion gig in Amityville last year...was a really great show. RIP.
PS: Tasty is a great song in case some of you are not familiar with it.

Did you know that Mark K, singer guitarist of the band, is a member here? He used to post a lot but now just drops in once in awhile...
