Whats the main difference between these two and which one do you prefer?

TY!

I believe (& it's only from what I've been told) that the OD100 is very "classic" plexi's sounding. The SE+ is based on the CAE 3+ preamp, so if you like that sound then it's the one for you.
Me - I'd take the SE+

Check mark days videos on YouTube - I think he has some demos using a SE+??

I will, TY.

I already have JMP with the SE mod, so maybe the Classic would be a better choice?

CL+ is the Landau vibe. The SE+ is a beast.

Love them both in the right hands.

There is a good explanation of each model here:

That was really helpful, thanks man.

So basically the Classic is like an early 70's plexi.

The Classic is what Landau used. It's supposed to be a copy of his early 70's metal panel. The Classic Plus is the Classic, but the boost mode on Channel 2 has a little more hair on it.

I used to own a Classic Plus. The clean channel is beautiful. The OD channel is like a Marshall, but it's round and big. Just think of a very big sounding Marshall without much compression that can cover pretty much anything up to hard rock.

When I played live with it, the other guitarist in that band was using a 5150II. I used to get all of the compliments, and it pissed him off.

I pulled the trigger, man... I had to sell my Mark III but it was worth it.

I plugged in, volume at 4... and yeah, that was it. It sounds so good, its awesome. It has that nice Marshall 'sizzle' on top of every note.

Yeah, they're great amps. It's one of the few amps I actually miss owning. :aww:
