I have been having problems with channel 1 on my Einstein lately. Not sure what it is but it sounds terrible. With my guitar turned down all the way not messing with the knobs its been making a lot of loud popping noises and hum sometimes crackling noises. It doesn't sound good at all and I'm hoping its not a BIG issue. I am running my amp through a power converter because I bought it used from spain and live in the US. Not sure if that would have anything to do with it. I recently put new tubes in and rebiased it to about 68ma. This is the correct bias setting for a set of E34L's right? I'm not sure if it needs to be set different since it's still running 230v through a converter. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I sent an email to the US tech support.

Best,
Peter

Hello,

What is going on with ch2 ? All 100% ok or some noises as well?

How old are the pre amp tubes? If you don't know they definitely need to be replaced.

Where are you located?

Thanks,

Jens Kruse

Thank you Peter. I just sent you an email Jens thanks for the quick reply. You people at Diezel don't mess around haha.

I've had crackling on channel 1 on the Einstein as well and changing the pre-amp tubes did the trick for me.
