As I suspected it was merely a stock photo used for the online listing. Standard “open-box” deal you might get from Musicians Friend and the like: hefty discount on an otherwise brand new amp someone decided they didn’t like after a week. I was in the market for a used X amp anyway so I’m happy to take an effectively brand new one at a big discount. Only downside is I have barely had any time to play through it yet. Initial impressions are extremely positive. Might be the real “Hidden gem” of the Friedman line, especially for guys/gals like me who grew up on JMP and JCM 800 Marshalls.
