Here are the official pics of the 2010 Limited Edition Set-Neck Modern and the Guthrie Govan Signature Set-Neck Modern.

The dealers are ordering the LE2010 in the colors of their choice besides the Faded Trans Wine Red Burst shown at NAMM.

We are adding Trans Cherry as a color option on the GG Set-Neck as it's a color that Guthrie is very fond of since he grew up playing an old SG.

These set-necks are absolutely killer. The resonance characteristics and the feel are quite different from their bolt-on counterparts.

The set-neck is more focused and tighter sounding with more punch. The bolt-on has more dispersion and is bigger and more open sounding. The set-neck seems to favor the fundamentals while the bolt-on has more overtones. The main difference is in the feel. They just resonate differently and you can really feel the difference when you pick or strum both instruments. Both are great: apples and oranges. I'd love to get a set-neck eventually as well.

Hey Ed- I asked in another thread if it was possible that there might eventually be a Set Neck Pro guitar in H-S-H with a 22 fret neck to take full advantage of their ( deeper?) neck tone possibilities ?

This would save me the trouble( and $ ) of becoming Great, then Famous and having my OWN Signature Model .

Set Necks are very rare in 25.5" scale, great that you guys are doing them.......... but what about Set Necks for the rest of us ? Any chance?
