The album has leaked, but I am going to do my best not to listen to anything beyond these 2 songs (even as I type that, I know I'm full of shit ).

It's going to take several listens to wrap my head around this stuff, but I'm definitely loving it:

Easily one of my favorite musicians period. I love his unique look and view of music. Absolutely no one sounds like him. The sheer amount of layers he puts into his music begs one to listen to his music over and over. Mandatory headphone listening.

I've never been able to handle Devin Townsend's vocals for long periods of time. That first song made me feel like I was listening to the soundtrack from Nightmare Before Christmas or something. He has some interesting songs, but I wouldn't say that was one of them. The second was much better, and I would be interested in hearing more along those lines. At least he's always trying to do something new, and keep metal fresh in an age where most bands sound contrived and uninspired.
