OK, first vid ever"Peters Gryphon"

I finally got to getting myself a Zoom Q3HD and record a video. First time ever, new song i learned. Go easy on the bad timing in certain parts. Ibanez RG565 with an Anderson H3 in the bridge. Splawn 4X12 with man-o-wars and governers. Mills 4X12 with v-30`s and gk-100`s. No effects, strait in the amp. Only effects are some chorus and delay on the cleans but i`m running W/D/W and my main dry rythm tone has none effects, oh except my decimator in the loop to keep things dead quiet, i`m paranoid with noise in my rig.

Lighting sucks but i`ll equip myself with some new pot lights soon, it`s way dark in my corner anyway. Next time i`ll use HD quality

This is my fave Peters amp I think....no boost? where's the gain set?

No boost, gain at 11 o`clock with crunch switch off and edge switch on. I just started messing with gain at around 8h30-9 o`clock with both switches on and it gets even more brootalz. New sounds always coming out of that thing.

The Splawn is more tight, aggressive and brighter.

The Mills i find more 3D, bigger overall sound but a bit looser and less bright.

A big factor are the speakers of course but the mixxed together is perfect for me.

Cobra=Gone
Dragon=Gone
Uber,6505,6505+,6534+,XTC....Etc,Etc....=Gone!!!!!!!!!!!!

5153, channel 2 is special to me and channel 3 i can cope with the Gryphon, maybe a tad tighter on the EVH.

VHT, well that amp is special to me, drove down to NY 6-7 years ago to get it and it has it`s own special tone like nothing else, i guess you know what i`m talking about!!!!!!!


Forgot to mention that the crunch channel on the Cobra was one of my favorite tones. I`m getting that tone, better and less finicky about the humidity, smell, lighting etc,etc the Cobra has. That thing is like a women in her period, so finicky about everything that plugs in it!!!!!

I totally agree on the Cobra...so that Gryphon is as BIG sounding as the Cobra?

So you don't think the Mills cab blows away the Splawn? I bet if you put the V30's in the Splawn cab you'd dig it more.

Yep, it can get as big as the Cobra. The tone is more full, more harmonic overtones and better note separation. Rolling of the volume knob works awesome on the Peters, while, IMO, on the Cobra, things got thin and spikey real fast.

I don`t think any cab blows away any other, they all have there thing going for them. That`s why i have 5 different ones. Each have there purpose. But the Splawn fits in most categories.

Great playing and the Peters sounds excellent

Q3 audio is pretty good, not sure about the video quality, maybe because of the low light condition.

Yes, more pot lights, electricity is cheap in Quebec ....tabernac

I had the video quality at it`s lowest The HD is waaaay better, not even comparable. I also had it on outdoor setting. Should of put it on night.

I will do updated ones later.
