Ok I am hooked..recording questions

Apogee Duet! Simple better sound quality playback through headphones. You can also use Apogee One but I prefer Duet. I run the axe in the mic pre and the +48 volt off, I can hear the axe through my amp while I record. Very flexible. Also has 2 line out for stereo powered Monitors.

The Duet is AWESOME!!!

+1 on the Apogee for sure... Dead simple and uber quality!!

Careful with anyhting M-Audio, even thought I bought their ProFire 610, I think they were bought out by DigiDesign, and since then, their upgrades (firmware, etc) and CS suck.

Just be careful with this whole recording schtick... Some people worry endlessly about TONESUCK, well, lemme tell you, getting set up to record is by far way worse. I call it TIMESUCK
