Oddly enough, I must be too.

I remember! I remember! One of my faves. Also dug The Monkee's, Banna-Splitz, Speed Racer, Kookla Fran and Ollie, Lidsville, Captain Kangaroo, Land of the Lost, HR Puffenstuff. Have to say, Ultraman was pretty awesome.

I'd get up in the morning, watch the test pattern on the TV for an hour or so, and the the cartoons would come on.

yep,i remember "Johnny Sokko" & "Ultraman" VERY well.growing up in Chicago,as a kid,i used to have to run home from grade school(we're talking the mid 70's,i guess) to catch the last part of "Felix The Cat",which aired weekdays on local channel 44 from 2:30pm to 3:00pm.then at 3:00pm,i'd catch "Speed Racer",then "Johnny Sokko" came on between 3:30pm until 4pm.then "Ultraman" aired from 4pm to 4:30pm,then,finally,was another Japanese-originated tv show called "Space Giants",which ran from 4:30PM until 5pm...every day,for a few years,i'd run my ass off to get home to,at the very least, catch these shows, starting FULLY with Speed Racer...great shows, great memories...lol!!! ...sure beats today's kids shows... also,i actually OWN the complete "Johnny Sokko" official tv series collection, which is all 26 episodes on 5 VHS,yes VHS tapes...just watched the episode called ""Tentaclonn,An Electric Monster" a few weeks ago.i was "re-living" the past on lazy, rainy Sunday,so i decided to watch an episode of "Johnny Sokko",then play a few games of "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons",on my old "Intellivision II" unit, then i finished up by watching "Tron",on VHS,of course...lol! how's that for "living in the past"...lol! ...btw,the "Bananna Splits" series was my favorite,as far as cartoons go!!!

I loved Ultraman! Even now when I am wearing one of my pairs of Oakleys my bro calls me Ultraman. Its a great honor.

CLUTCH CARGO!

Some Chicagoans (WGN viewers) may remember Frazier Thomas, Garfield Goose, and B.J. & Dirty Dragon (with Blob).

Classic shit....I remember eating my lunch to those shows when I was a wee little prick.

Forgot about Felix the Cat. Anyone from Northern Ohio would remember Big Chuck and Houlihan. Classic late night horror movies with comedy sketches in between.

I grew up in Cleveland (Brunswick, Strongsville, Lakewood, Seville). My dad was in the band "Baskerville Hounds". If i recall, Big Chuck and Houlihan had some Baskerville Hounds for their opening music. My wife is from New Philadelphia. We're now in Lexington Ky.

Big Chuck was hilarious. They really supported the local sports, music, comedy, etc. and topped if off with classic horror movies.

I could tell by your BK hat that you were from Akron.
