I have heard quite a few guys saying they are looking for older Jems in good condition. Saw this on Craigslist and thought I would post it in case someone is looking for one still.

it was far from mint but still a good deal. I sold it to a music store online (monkey was in the name I think) for around $1000us

The price on these originals have gone up over the past year since the re-issues came out. That’s a fair price. However, I did recently snag an ‘88 DY for $1600 that was near mint but that was an anomaly. The seller was very questionable and usually sells very random items (none of which were guitar related), the pics weren’t great, and didn’t even have strings on it. I think this scared away many potential buyers. I took a chance and it paid off.

I have seen them in good condition being offered for more than this one. Who knows, maybe the seller would take a lot less if you offered him a cash deal?

You haven't been following jems recently then. Can't even find a PWH for under $2500 in good condition.

I sold my friend an SK for $2200ish 2 years ago and he sold it for $4000+ recently on Reverb in a week or so.

Deals are still out there, just have to keep your eye out for them. My fave has always been the desert yellow with the pyramids. I got lucky.
