One Stomp to boost gain and volume?

Trying to figure out how I can achieve adding some gain and volume for solos with my Bogner Helios.

Lets say for now I don't have anything in the loop that requires the loop to always be on. I know that I can put a jumper in the loop, set the loop volume higher, click the loop on and get a clear volume increase.
Is there anything that would work in the loop to add some gain/saturation without changing the tone in addition to stepping up the volume?
In my experience putting a boost or something to give an increase in crunch or saturation needs to be out front, but that won't kick up the volume as well.

I use a Mesa 5 band eq in the loop of my VH4 and it kicks all kinds of ass. I also use Suhr Koko boosts on the boost side set at around 7-8 clock wise and this helps out a lot.

EQ in the loop and Koko boost out front correct? I would like to able to increase the volume and gain with one switch to eliminate the tap dancing. If its not possible I'll certainly check out some of the ideas of what works out front for gain and what works in the loop for the volume bump.

Use a Bogner Wessex out front. There's a YouTube video of a recording artist (Indian dude) can't think of his name. Sounds exactly like what your wanting to use it for. I use it for this on channel one of my uberschall twin jet

Y'all know my recommendation....

CAL Mk.4:23 Pro if you can get your hands on one. Standard is fine too.

EQ pedal in the loop, done. Set sliders to taste for the gain, and level for the volume boost.

The answer is no. Pedals in the loop will increase volume but don't work well for gain. And an EQ pedal into your input won't increase volume on a gained out lead channel. On a clean channel with a lot of headroom you will get volume boosts with pedals into the input but not on gain channels.

You will have to tap dance unless you got something like a Fractal FX8, AX8, or Helix and used it in the 4CM setup. Then you could have a number of things happen when you step on 1 switch. I use the AX8 with a Mark IV and it works perfect. I can step on one button for a lead and it turns on an OD, a volume boost, changes the gate to kill noise, and delay if I want or wah, or a whammy. Possibilities are really endless with these 4CM setups.

OR, get some kind of pedal switch and run pedals into your input and loop and program the pedal box to turn on 2 pedals from one footswitch.

I have an EQ in the loop (for vol) and an SD1 (for gain) in the front, hit them both for solo's, been doing this forever.

Me too. Been doing this for years. Unless your feet are midget size you can usually mount these 2 pedals side by side on your board and hit them together.

Yep, GE7 and SD1 side by side

If you want to add gain and saturation (along with volume) i would put a pedal in front of the amp. Then go with the classic TubeScreamer-style pedal. That has worked for for me, and probably for everybody else ;)

Boost in the loop will add headroom, not saturation.
Boost out front will add saturation, not headroom.
GE-7 and SD-1, put them next to each other, stand on both, job done.

I didn't read this well enough at first. Edited.

Why not two devices that are switched simultaneously some way.

source audio LA lady set up properly CAN do this.
Just came to post this. I am in the process of making a tone match for my EP Booster...

I've made a few homebrew boxes for friends that do the separate dual-loop thing with one stomp. Easy to do and a low parts count....project box, 4 plastic barrel jacks, a DPDT ftsw. If you want an indicator light, sub a 3PDT for the DPDT, and then add an LED, resistor, and power jack. You can also mess around with it by using a built-in 10k pot to act as a passive "rhythm level cut" control in the amp's loop instead of relying on a boost pedal. There's no rules to this stuff. Whatever works, works.
