Im thinking about picking one up for the bridge position on my Les Paul. Can anyone give me some info on them? Hows the tone on these things?

Hey Paul! IMHO the HD had a bit too much bass and was woofy.
Lots of of mids too.

While I dont know about bridge positioning, I have one in the neck for cleans. Cant palm mute without getting too much bass, so bridge might have similar trouble. But this pickup is harmonic as fuck, so for cleans its got an interesting sound and thats why I love it.

From what I know of the pickup, it is very bassy. Not particularly tight, and heavy in the mids. Better suited for guitars made of ash, alder, etc. Probably won't work to well in an lp.

Some guys on the BK forum swear by the Holy Diver in a Les Paul.

The Holy Diver is very harmonic, and its a bit of a darker pickup with lots of mids... I also found it quite smooth and too polite in the guitar I had it in for the music that I play. As mentioned above I'll bet it would make a great neck pickup.

As said, the Holy Diver is mainly a pickup for guys with bright guitars wanting more fatness in the lower midrange and low end. It does have a killer vocal lead tone though.
Check out the Crawler for a fat, classic LP sound with plenty of power, or the Cold Sweat for an aggressive but clear and open bridge position sound.
