I made a trade yesterday for my wah so I'm back on the market for a new one. I'm considering the Dunlop Rack Wah. Its a big chunck of change but if its the best sounding and most versatile maybe its worth it. Anyone using one of these or have used one that can give me an opinion on it? Thanks for any feedback.

i have one (the old dcr 1sr). I think I set it up how I like and haven't touched it since. it has allot of noise though but it is old... its flexible in that it has 6 ranges of frequencies and then the EQ that you can tweek. so you will be able to dial in the frequency range that you want if you cant you dont need a wah.. but once I got something that I liked I don't think I have touched it since. If there is another Wah for half the price that has the range that you want you might be all the better going with that unless you really ahve a need for a versitle wah.

I have the older one too. I love it. It is a little noisy when you kick it on but not terrible. I couldn't imagine being without.

I have the DCR1SR, I have had it the longest out of all the gear I've owned, I bought it more than 10 years ago, I think pretty much when it was released???

Anyhow I love it, and use it all the time, it sounds HUGE, and have gotten rid of some of the nouse with a few tricks, nothing major, but it worked, the most important thing is to keep it away from power sources! if you ever saw a petrucci rack with the wah in it, it was always in a separate rack with his wireless stuff!

anyhow get one if you can, I love mine!

I had one for 8 years, once I found a tone I liked I left it alone and never changed it. i sold it a couple years ago
I think the versatility is just "too many options"
better to have a great wah w/ 1 sound
I mainly got it cause I liked the idea if not having cable runs out to the pedal board
That was the the only reason I bought it
It did sound good
now, having less money, I think it's crazy and I will never buy one again, I will just buy a used fulltone wah some day.
I think having cable runs out to the pedal board isn't such a big deal anymore.

Had old one then went to new one had two pedals modded for switchless operation. Love it
