Opinions on Emi Wizard?

I'm thinking of grabbing four for my Emperor.

I have one mixed with a swamp thang in my Avatar 2x12.

I think I like it. It's loud as hell, but still fairly smooth.


What do you guys think? :rock: :rock: :rock:
 
I have 2 of them in a ported 2x12 and it sound absolutely gigantic. Great speaker in every respect.
 
I went with Wizards in my 4x12 last January, Though they might or might not be fully broken in yet..
The only thing I have to compare them with is the v30's in my other 4x12..

They are louder with better clarity and cleaner sound, on top of not having a harsh sounding mid range..
They also do not break up as early as the v30's...
For my use it feels like they are more of a Neutral speaker sound wise..

I am liking them and will most likely keep using them for what I play.. Pantera, Slayer, L.O.G, Fear Factory ect,ect..
My only regret is I put them into my slant cabinet and not the straight cabinet since they pound my ears a lot easier..
 
I really dig them. They sound great in every cab I have had them in...Earcandy buzzbomb, Earcandy Boa 112, and Redstar BK412

They also mix nice with G12K-100s :rock:
 
They do classic rock really nice. Don't care for them with higher gain tone on their own.
 
I have one in a 1x12 combo that I run clean with a pedal for distortion, and it covers all the ground I'm covering really well. Chunky, eq'd well, cleans are smooth, great for rock.
 
I loved them when they were mine! They mix well with the Hempcone too!

I guess I'm asking, "how do four wizards sound in a badass 4x12?"

When I had them in a 4x12 they were mixed with the Swamp Things, I also had them mixed with the Hempcones which was really nice.

I say try it, if you dont like it you'll probably only wind up pulling two of them out anyway.

The xh series scumbacks at 101db should match up well too, that will be my next speaker trial.
