Opinions on EVH speakers vs New H30's

Just looking for anyone that has both cabs and whick set up you like better?

Hi Greg, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner had a crazy last few days. Sad to say I have not even had a chance to play with the 2x12 cab yet. Blasphemy I know. Lol! But, I've got two rehearsals this week Thursday and Friday and plan on putting it though the paces with the 100 watt and the 50 watt amps. I'll shoot you back an email Saturday morning and share my thoughts about it cool?

I've played and owned both. Both are great but out of the two I prefer the EVH speakers. If I may make a suggestion, try the WGS invaders. Their higher wattage , in my opinion has all of the positive attributes and non of the questionable ones of the EVH's. They are a hell of a lot cheaper as well. Hope this helps, just my 2 cents.

I don't know if this is going to help all that much.
I had an EVH speaker in my ISO cabinet. It sounded very greenbackish because essentially that is what it is. I liked it!

I have had my 2x12 EVH cab with the Heritage 30s since early March and I really love the sound from it. I'm comparing it to my Diezel 2x12 with V30s that I had last year. This one is much more punchy and clear while still able to nicely handle the bottom end of the 50watt head.

Really happy with this purchase!

I'm also interested in that 2 x 12. I've owned H30 anniversaries before and I remember feeling they were a tad spikey but the bottom end was the shiznit and they were amazing clean. Since then i've come to think it is my cab that attenuates harsh high end so i am back to being interested in this cab. For those with this cab, how are the highs? The only one fail for me on this cab is that it is essentially a 16 ohm cab. I wish it were 8.
 
Thanks for the opinions. I dont think Ive ever played those speakers. I have the EVH loaded EVH cab and I love it but I am thinking about getting a 2-12, Ive always loved the Bogner 2-12 but they are spendy so if the EVH sounds great what the hell I'll get one. No one has them in stock is the only problem.
 
Greg I have a quad of heritage H30's and I just bought a quad of EVH celestions, the EVH speakers are warmer vintage tone. The H30's are more modern and bright. Actually you need cabs loaded with both. :thumbsup:

Are they the heritage 30's in that cab or the anniversaries?

That's a pretty damn good price for a cab that has heritage G12H30's in em.. I just did some checking around and they look to be 499$ street price. I'm def interested if the cab quality is top notch. I'm growing tired of harsh highs that cannot be tamed..
