I have an opportunity to get a mid-90s USA invader. It's a swamp ash body with maple neck hsh and gotoh Floyd. I don't need another guitar but he's offering it as extra trade on something I'm selling. He doesn't have enough cash and this would be covering around 750 of the purchase price. It's got something me bumps and bruises but nothing crazy. Just looking for opinions. I have played them but it was years ago and it seems like the specs are all over the place. I'm guessing you can order different options. Thanks for any help

A friend of mine had one from the '80's with a Kahler. It was a killer guitar. I tried to buy it off him forever. He still has it 30 years later.

I have a pretty new USA Invader. H-H with Floyd and a transparent green finish/maple top. Its a really, really great guitar. It reminds me of, and plays just as well as my Suhr Modern.

Here is a terrible photo, but its on the right:

I love mine but it's been modified to be very similar to a Rampage (neck and middle sc holes filled, bridged replaced with fixed Kahler. Sound/Feel - it gives me most of what I love about my Fenders with added chunk. It's not a smooth and sleek shredder but more of a rough around the edges rock machine with a somewhat chunky neck. Heavy guitar.

Ive been looking into these myself. What i seem to find is that the maple neck invaders are typically swamp ash bodies and the rosewood boards are usually a mahogany body with a figured maple top.

Rayneman's is sick btw.

The only real question mark i have is that most g&ls have a 1 5/8 nut except the rampage which is a 1 3/4. I dont know which version floyd nut is on this series so the questions about nut width have prevented me from buying in the past i prefer 1 11/16.

Yours looks awesome. I'm an ebony board guy usually but I can get along with maple. If the necks are narrow I won't like it. I play kamikazes and charvels.
