Hey guys. I am seriously considering buying one of these. I have a Hamer Monaco Elite that I really love, but the upper fret access is killing me. It feels like I can't be free when I play. When I bought the guitar this wasn't an issue, but I think I've just outgrown it.

I want a single cut with better upper fret access and this seem to fit the bill. I'm a new Ibanez user and got my first one this July and I'm kind of hooked. Does anyone have experience with this guitar? The neck seems thicker than the regular Prestige, but at 305MM/12 inch radius that is still pretty thin. I play a PRS with a pattern thin too which is fine for me. I don't like huge necks though.

This is the guitar:

I'm interested in your thoughts and opinions. Thanks!

I have owned an uppercut variation of the ibanez you are looking at. (Ibanez Prestige RG6UCS.)

It had a super wizard neck. Fret access up high was good. It was a breeze to shred anywhere on the neck. Although the neck is slim, being a flat neck makes it a bit more of a stretch to reach the A and E strings from around the 16th fret and beyond. Excellent neck overall.

Personally, I find neck through or set neck flying V guitars to have the absolute best fret access.
